Our TPCL Camp theme this year is Spreading Our Wings. Campers will be incubating and hatching quail chicks, growing and harvesting flowers and vegetables, learning sign language, developing friendships, completing community service projects, and much more. Last year's camp was successful beyond expectations due to community support and we expect this year to be even better.
The Plains Community League helps youth spread their wings in many ways. We are awarding college scholarships to four new high school seniors in addition to continuing scholarships to seven current college students. Three of our new awardees have spent hundreds of volunteer hours during their high school careers supporting The Plains Community League. Congratulations to our new winners: Nathalie Arellano, Alexa Luviano, Danielle Sandoval and Leah Kelso. We will have an Awards Ceremony on June 6th, 2024 at 6:30 at The John Page Turner House if you want to stop by and congratulate them!
Can you help us Spread Our Wings by donating? We are participating in Give Local Piedmont on May 14th for the first time this year. This gives you an easy way to donate online to support our many programs. Here is a quick link: https://www.givelocalpiedmont.org/organization/The-Plains-Community-League
