Congratulations!

Every year The Plains Community League offers scholarships to deserving The Plains residents to help continue their educations. This year we were thrilled to offer $1,000 scholarships to thirteen students. We were inspired by the essays of our new applicants and impressed to hear about the progress of our continuing awardees.

Congratulations to Alexa Luciano on receiving the Joan Kuhns Excellence in Volunteering Scholarship. This scholarship was established in 2020 to recognize exceptional volunteer work for The Plains Community League. Alexa has volunteered for TPCL as a tutor with our students for three years, at many of our community activities, and assisted adult residents of The Plains with computer help, basic skills, guidance, and advice. Alexa is completing her Freshman year at Shenadoah University where she made the Dean's list. She is an amazing role model for the youth in our programs.
