Summer Camp Explore 2026 has been bursting with adventure, creativity, and laughter! From the very first day, our campers have embraced the joy of summer—building friendships, discovering new interests, and exploring exciting experiences both inside and outside the John Page Turner House.

Creativity has been woven into camp life. Campers proudly designed colorful tie-dye shirts, learned pottery techniques from David Newquist of Nuke Art Gallery, art class at ZigZag Gallery with Roberta and Susan Jeffries, and completed a variety of fun arts and crafts projects. Each activity offered a chance for self-expression and imaginative exploration. Between projects, campers have enjoyed a balance of indoor and outdoor games, reading time, and free play—creating a well-rounded and enriching daily routine.

Beyond camp, our adventures throughout the surrounding area have added even more excitement. Campers hiked the scenic trails of Bull Run Mountains Conservancy, explored Round Hill Farm, and stayed active at Sports Camp through our partnership with Wakefield School. They showcased their bowling skills at Galaxy Strikes Bowling Center, cooled off at the Middleburg pool, and even enjoyed a special trip to the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema to watch Toy Story 4. All the campers were treated to a delicious kid's meal during the movie thanks to Andres Uribe and the Viva Community supporters. Each outing has provided opportunities to learn, stay active, and make lasting memories.

As summer continues, our dedicated counselors and volunteers remain committed to providing a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where every child can grow, learn, and have fun. We are incredibly grateful to our donors, community partners, and volunteers who make these experiences possible—and we look forward to many more adventures in the weeks ahead.
