A Day in The Plains

A Day in The Plains will be offering our annual celebration of music, fun, and food. This is always a fun day for children and adults alike. Come on down and join friends and neighbors! Here are some of the activities planned:

Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket to settle down in The Plains park to listen to four great bands.

Our musicians are well known and popular in Fauquier County. Come down and listen to them.

In addition to music in the park, walk down the street to Grace Church's Piedmont Art Show and listen to Jiamie Pyles performing live. You have time to walk through the show and join us for festivities at the John Page Turner House and Town Park.

Jiamie will be performing at Grace Church for the Piedmont Art Show.

If you have a young or young-at-heart family member, they will enjoy meeting our The Plains Volunteer Fire Company and their Fire Truck!

Come see what balloon creatures Brennan will surprise us with this year!!

Please consider donating a baked goodie to our bake sale, and definitely purchase some tasty treats on Saturday to support our Tutoring Program.

Our Community Cookbook will be available for a donation in support of our Tutoring Program. We are asking at least a $10 donation as the books cost almost $10 each to bring.

Well-known local artist, Palmer Smith, will be at work in front of the ZigZag Gallery-which is right next to us. Come watch him paint and then children can join Gallery owners Susan and Roberta to create Halloween Cards.

We will have Hotdogs, Cotton Candy, Snow Cones and Popcorn available for free! And several face painters will be at work.

We will have pumpkins and paints available for young artists as well as children's games with prizes.

Finally, you can memorialize the day by taking a photo in front of our LOVE display!!! Perfect for family groups, romantic couples, and friends!!
