We have a Winner!!

We received more than 85 creative entries for our “Name That Horse” contest—what a response from our community!

After careful consideration, our three judges selected “Duvall” as the winning name. Even more special, this name was submitted three separate times, each in honor of long-time resident and beloved actor Robert Duvall.

The winner received an incredible prize generously donated by the Virginia Gold Cup Foundation, including a reserved tailgate space, parking passes, and Members Hill wristbands—an unforgettable race day experience.

Introducing Our 2026 Scholarship Winners

Give Local Piedmont

Each spring, the Northern Piedmont Community Foundation brings our region together through Give Local Piedmont, a day of giving that supports nonprofits across Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, and Rappahannock counties.

The Plains Community League is grateful to be part of this incredible initiative. Every donation we receive not only supports our programs—it also gives us the opportunity to earn additional matching funds and prizes through the campaign.
