The Plains Community League is busy transforming our summer camp home into tutoring classrooms. This fall we hope to upgrade and replace some of our ancient desktop computers to new laptops. Erica has been communicating with parents and the schools about students and classroom guidance for our tutoring program. Buses will begin dropping students off on Thursday September 25th: Remember, students must be registered and enrolled before starting.

We are busy preparing for our annual A Day in The Plains celebration which is on the first Saturday in October: October 4th, 2025 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. This year will feature Brennan's Balloons, an ice cream truck, House of Dogs food truck, pumpkin painting, face painting, cotton candy, popcorn, children's games, a bake sale (to support our tutoring program), and live music in The Plains park. Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets and settle in for a beautiful fall day. In addition to live music in the park, The Plains Episcopal Church has free admission to The Piedmont Regional Art Show and Sale on Saturday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. Jaimie Pyles and Jacob will be performing as a duet at the church to celebrate the Art Show and A Day in The Plains. **We always need volunteers to help, so reach out to us if you are interested! 540-253-2119 or PCL20198@gmail.com

You are invited to attend our monthly Community League meetings--we appreciate all the support and ideas we get from our friends and neighbors.
