The Plains, Virginia became both playground and classroom to 25 happy campers. The debut of TPCL Summer Camp exceeded all of our expectations. Campers formed friendships, matured, and just had fun! They did science experiments, learned American Sign Language, visited museums, galleries and an apiary (bee yard), all within walking distance of the John Page Turner Community House. This free camp for workforce children ran from June 12 until August 4th from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday-Friday. All meals and snacks were provided free of charge. We look forward to making this an ongoing program. We already have campers asking to return next summer.
Thank you to ALL of our neighbors for your support, we could not have done it without you!!
